Notice of Privacy Practices

This website www.allstatecapac.com hosted and maintained by our vendor DDC (DDC Public Affairs Inc.), is brought to you by Allstate California PAC (ACP) connected with Allstate Insurance Company. Eligible employees may use this website to enroll in ACP, manage their membership and select their contribution amounts. This website also provides members access to valuable information about ACP in addition to news articles of interest hosted by outside parties. This website is not intended or designed for children. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect information we may obtain about you as a user of the ACP website.

ACP has been awarded TRUSTe's Privacy Seal signifying that this privacy policy and practices have been reviewed by TRUSTe for compliance with TRUSTe's program requirements including transparency, accountability and choice regarding the collection and use of your personal information. The TRUSTe program does not cover information that may be collected through downloadable software. TRUSTe's mission, as an independent third party, is to accelerate online trust among consumers and organizations globally through its leading privacy trustmark and innovative trust solutions. Our Privacy Assurance

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We require persons or organizations that provide us with services to keep your information confidential.

Allstate employees that support ACP protect your personal information and keep it confidential to the extent permitted by law.

What Personal Information Do We Have and Where Do We Get It

We gather personal information from you when you use the website to enroll in ACP and to manage your ACP membership. Examples of information we may gather include name, address, phone number, e-mail address, unique subscriber ID and credit card number.

How We Use and Share Your Personal Information

In the course of normal ACP activities, we may use and share your personal information in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. For example, we may use your information to:

  • Complete your ACP enrollment
  • Process your contribution amounts
  • Prepare reports including those required by federal and state election and campaign finance laws
  • Send you occasional e-mail regarding your ACP membership and eligibility
  • Comply with requests from regulatory and law enforcement authorities

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Persons or organizations with whom we may share your personal information could include among others:

  • Companies or vendors that perform services on ACP’s behalf; these entities are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us
  • Those who request information pursuant to subpoena, investigation or court order
  • The Federal Election Commission

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as sending you emails on our behalf, processing your contributions, or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

We may disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

DDC may also track and measure your usage of the ACP website through cookies or other technology. This may be done for reasons such as: to help us analyze usage of our website; develop new services; or improve website functionality. Many commercial Internet sites use cookies; a cookie enables the site to label you as a particular user, but it does not identify you by name or address unless you have provided us with such information (over the Internet or otherwise) or set up preferences in your browser to do so automatically. Access to Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, you may update or correct inaccuracies by visiting MyHR Workplace on your desktop.

Data Retention

We will retain information about your contributions for as long as your membership is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
